Yey, I went to my first rugby game last Saturday. We were 7 AFS students and 2 kiwis and we were enjoying it :D Rugby is quite boring sometimes though, cause they stop so often during the match, and then they all just stand around on the field doing nothing.. But the atmosphere was good anyway. And the Hurricanes won!! (They are Wellington's team). After the match we went to town to eat something. It was a very nice evening :)

I had so much fun on my AFS camp one week ago! I met heaps of other really nice AFS students from all over the world. I was the only one from Norway, but there was Emil from Sweden, Sveinn from Iceland and Emma and Henry from Finland.
We arrived on Friday evening. Had some “get to know each other” games and a talk about “What is culture?” Was quite fun.
On Saturday (we had to get up at 7 am..) we where divided in 4 groups, and each group had an orientation, which was lots of talking. We shared our first experiences in NZ and talked about difficulties. We were also discussing the school system in NZ. It was really nice to hear from others about their first months in NZ. We also had to rehearse for the “gala” later on this evening. In the afternoon we had really exciting activities like abseiling, kayaking and a challenge course. I did all of the activities and I am especially proud of the abseiling. Some of us also went to the pool. It was freezing cold, but fun. In the evening we had a big orientation about NZ laws and AFS rules. And then we had the “gala” were all of the four groups had to present something. My group performed the Swedish Midsummer Day dance, French cancan, dancing from Chile, limbo from Brazil and the Norwegian song “Lille Petter edderkopp” (which led to that Inzy Winzy Spider was song in 10 different languanges!)
On Sunday we had a quiz about all the things we had been talking about during the weekend.
It was a really fun and exciting camp! All the talking about the exchange actually made me appreciate it even more. We also received a prize each. I got a cup with a big smile on because I had been so happy and friendly during the weekend :D
